The city states of Pisa, as a University town, developed its own distinctive style of architecture. Everything to see here is concentrated at the Leaning Tower. If you have claustrophobia, acrophobia, or uncontrollable desire to jump, don't try to risk yourself to go to the 294 steps.
Both Firenze and Pisa could be reached from Rome in a day, but you would be better stay in Florence to enjoy the beauty of the city . Sit in a cafe and have a drink, think about all good things in the rest of your life.
